Lhombre, I really like this. It is so spare, which seems characteristic of your artistic voice, but nonetheless communicates much to me about the joy and depths that can be felt during the process of creating art (or writing).

mb: Thank you. Some things are just too sublime to nurture with words. There is something far beyond the surface of the few words I've used here to try and express it.

Maybe someday!

It's true that there are things that are impossible to put into words. I struggled with the last section of my poem, "Finding Home," for exactly that reason.

But there are key words here that hint at it - not unlike the way a gestural drawing can communicate so much more life than the line itself justifies - "caressing," "anticipation," "numinous." I think perhaps you express more than you realize.

Then again, I wonder sometimes if artists keep working in order to touch, just for an instant, the uncapturable. Sometimes I feel that my creative work is just an effort to nail the same unanswerable question time and again!
